At a glance. This landing page does not set cookies or run analytics scripts. Current game and demo releases send analytics by default unless a build is configured otherwise. This includes a pseudonymous user ID and gameplay/session events. When the Electron game is running through Steam and Steamworks is available, the session also includes your SteamID64 and current Steam display name. Game saves and settings stay on your device; analytics does not upload complete save files.
1. Scope
In this policy, “Nodegrid Games,” “Nodegrid,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Nodegrid Games team and the entity responsible for the relevant website or game. This policy covers this landing page, related Nodegrid websites, and Nodegrid games or prototypes that link here.
Third-party stores, platforms, websites, and services linked from a Nodegrid product have their own privacy policies. Their handling of information is not controlled by this policy.
2. Information we handle
Depending on how you interact with us, we may handle the following categories of information:
- Information you provide. If you email us, we receive the address and message you choose to send, along with any attachments or other details included in that communication.
- Website and hosting information. Our hosting or security providers may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser or device type, date and time, referring page, and the resource requested.
- Game and demo analytics. Current releases send analytics by default unless analytics is disabled in a particular build. Session details include a random pseudonymous user ID, game and build identifiers, platform, language, viewport dimensions, and device pixel ratio. Gameplay events can include run and mission IDs, mission level, wave number, cards played, reward card options and choice, and whether a run or mission was won, lost, or abandoned.
- Steam identity. In the Electron Steam build, when Steamworks initializes successfully, we receive your SteamID64 and current Steam display name from the Steam client and include both in the analytics session. This lets us associate that session and its gameplay events with your Steam account. Web and non-Steam sessions do not include these Steam fields.
- Game data on your device. Saves, settings, and progression stay on your device and are separate from analytics records sent to our server. Depending on your operating system, this data may remain after uninstalling the game.
We do not intentionally ask this website for precise location, contacts, payment card data, or sensitive personal information.
3. How we use information
We use information as needed to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve our websites, games, and demos;
- understand gameplay and game balance, measure performance, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse or fraud;
- respond to questions, support requests, press inquiries, and other messages;
- develop features and understand broad usage patterns; and
- comply with legal obligations and protect our rights, users, and services.
Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we may rely on providing a requested service, our legitimate interests, your consent, or a legal obligation, depending on the context. We will seek consent where the law requires it.
5. Cookies and game data on your device
This landing page does not currently set cookies or include an analytics script. Games keep saves, settings, and progression on your device. These are separate from the session and gameplay records sent to our analytics service. Game data may remain after uninstalling, depending on your operating system.
6. Retention and security
Analytics sessions and events are stored in date-based database files. The analytics service does not currently apply an automatic expiry period; records remain stored until we delete them. We may retain limited information longer where needed for security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Email and hosting records may have different retention periods.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, game, or online transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your choices and rights
Where applicable, Nodegrid Games complies with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). These laws may give you rights over your personal information, including access, correction, and deletion.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to applicable law and necessary retention exceptions. You may also request a copy of your information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information where those concepts apply.
California residents may have additional rights under California privacy law, including rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or sharing, subject to applicable exceptions. We do not discriminate against people for exercising privacy rights.
To request access to or deletion of game analytics, use our Delete My Data form or email privacy@ngrid.cc with the subject “Privacy Request.” Include the game or demo, your SteamID64 if you played through Steam, and an approximate date range so we can locate the records. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the request before completing it. You may also contact your local data-protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
8. Children
Our websites and prototypes are not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in the applicable jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through this landing page. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can review and remove it where appropriate.
9. International processing
Nodegrid and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and respect mandatory rights in your jurisdiction.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, data practices, or legal obligations change. The “Last updated” date above shows when this version took effect. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice when appropriate.
